My Aunt, sister and I love to seek treasures. We frequently find really great things. Now we have a little shop. Come check us out.

Putting on the Ritz

Yes, I am a self proclaimed explore-a-holic. When trapped indoors, it’s either via writing a new song, using a new medium or surfing the web, adding to my list of ‘will go here someday.’ When outside, well, the sky is truly the limit. Today, after loading a new battery into my Polaroid, it’s off to explore! (And possibly get some good shots along the way – at least, that is the hope!)

Also, I found a few new places that I must add to my list…perhaps you’ll want to, as well!

SO unique and interesting – great odd finds for children – Paxton Gatepaxton.jpg

A favorite haunt of mine in Decatur, GA. (well, this isn’t new to me, but…it may be new to you! They currently stock Lollia ‘wish’ perfume – sweet/spicy and very addicting! (and such a pretty bottle!)

Eco-friendly AND super chic – Doe

Candy Store

Earth Girls (again proving the eco-friendly can be super fashionable)

A great place to stay ‘in the loop’ on all things green.

I am in love with their light, feminine clothing for Spring, especially this:

Noa Noa. My requested Noa Noa catalog arrived. Vintage Baton Rouge spring 2008 – and I’m in inspiration heaven. The entire catalog is filled with the most gorgeous photography – the use of light is simply breathtaking. Not to mention – the clothing just hits the spot….reminds me of Southern 1920s and 30s….gorgeous! Some of the pictures can be seen on the website in the spring 08 lookbook. They also have a stunning line of little lady gear.

Anthropologie. I’ve been blown away by the photography in the most recent anthropologie catalogs…but I think the newest in the best yet. All I can say is – I want to go…..and page 23-27 has some of the most gorgeous housewares – delicate shower curtains, beautiful bedding….and I always love to check out the props used – vintage film cameras, photos, etc. Simply gorgeous!

Sestra Moja -  gauzy, drapey, antique looking dresses. Gorgeous.

Aedes (the line Santa Maria Novella – Firenze – the bottles alone are wonderful!)

Club Monaco

Rock and Republic

Alessandro Dell’Acqua

Piazza Sempione

Alannah Hill

Coclico

Made Her Think

Tocca

When in Melbourne:

Alice Euphemia

Incu

Ebay sellers that usually have some beautiful vintage:

Pacruss

Mulolas-Tresor (beautiful vintage beaded handbags)

4 Ladies and Gents

Jewel Diva

79 Swans

It’s sort of a depressing thought that I did waste some of my single free time. I used to take settling into bed with a great magazine for granted (or jogging on a whim, writing a song in the middle of the day, taking an extra class, meeting up with friends, shopping….and so on and so on)…then, there were children! The spice of life and my ever present sore heart all in one! So, one slice of nap time, in between work and school, I managed to sit down with my new Cookie magazine and have a short browse through – long enough to find things I dream of indulging in – and they are, as follows:

Yes, one day – AR457

I do check this on occasion to find pamper products that I might otherwise (as a busy mom) not know exist

Pangea Organics (bliss in a bottle and organic through and through)

Valentino Rock N Rose (It’s the bottle…not a vintage pump, but a sumptuous addition to the nightstand)

I don’t know – love this place - great books, sweet simple clothes – reminds me of holiday in France or something (even though I’ve never been on holiday to France…ha ha…I can pretend!)

No matter what, if I love an editorial, it always seems to be shot by Matthew Hranek – Lucky magazine, Cookie – this most recent in Feb. Cookie was titled, ‘Tout Sweet’ on Paris – just took my breath away.

I’m always tempted to submit something….but think I’ve seen others far more deserving of publication!

I’ve found some amazing vintage this month! As it’s clear from my last few posts, I adore vintage clutches, shoes, clothing – anything classy and reminiscent of old ages. Please check out my ebay listings for some amazing finds from the month of February! I have to admit, some of these are going to be hard to part with!

Once again, I found some stunning vintage. I just adore the 30s (well, 20s, 30s and 40s just stand out to me as being CLASSY!) Shoes…..
